2007

Last post before I board up all the windows and retire from the world to a darkened room for a few days. Fortunately I'll have things to do - in particular, finishing the mixing for this new album for which details will be posted soon. Anyhow, whichever way you choose to spend your holidays, I'd like to take the opportunity to say thanks for reading this blog, for all the kind comments and mails (yes, even you, 'rootmarm'!), and for hearing the music - it really means a lot. Have a great time.

Happy holidays William! Thank you for all your insightful posts and recommendations this year, I've enjoyed reading every single one of them. Looking forward to this new album - do you feel that your decision to 'open up' contact with your fans through message boards or blogs have acted as a stimulus on your recording inputs - almost as if Whitehouse is a collective now? I'm not saying that Whitehouse is the Polyphonic Spree or anything, it's just that it seems that with more information provided to you through your listeners you've been able to channel ideas better and quickly, while making them more personal to your audience - which I understand is the aim of Whitehouse? (forgive me for trying to sum up Whitehouse so succinctly)

Of course, I can't say what your next album's themes will be or if they are relevant to us... and the last thing I'd expect is Whitehouse simply trying to cater to the tastes of a specific audience either...

I think I've maybe answered my own question, lol. Oh well :)

Oh, and at the very least treat yourself to a mince pie tomorrow!

John
